VS Statesman steering wheel question (regarding the airbag etc)

my mate wants to put a sports steering wheel in his statesman, but he has to remove the factory steering wheel that has a airbag, we were worried about the insurance companies, by removing a saftey feature etc, has anyone done this or anything
? anyone got any more info on this sorta matter

it is a safety issue, it is also illegal, cops see it they will defect you and youd have toput the old one back on.

it is a safety issue, it is also illegal, cops see it they will defect you and youd have toput the old one back on.

so you get a defect for taking a saftey feature out? because the sports steering wheel has all these papers saying its legal size etc

If you remove an airbag from any part of the car that it left the factory with your car is instantly unroadworthy , thus defectable

for a vehicle that doesn't have a driver's aribag in gth esteering wheel. ie. VR's and anything older
