Hi,
I was wondering if someone could shed some light on a problem that I have. Today a large strange noise is coming from the tailshaft. It is like a metal on metal noise which seems to be coming from the centre bearing....I think. Does anyone know what the item is that is behind the centre bearing with the allen key screws? I cannot get this off - the seem to be welded or something on. The noise may be coming from this area. Has anyone ever experienced this? It started after going up a hill, when the shaft would of been under pressure, but it is now there all the time - very noisy. I have the tailshaft off now - does anyone know what they are worth? Also any advice with fixing this problem is appreciated.
