True-Trac.

LSDs from newer models will fit if you have IRS, but you need to get the entire housing as the centres won't swap. You're outta luck there if you've got live axle.

There is no good lsd you can put in it, seems you like to light them up so regardless of year/model etc etc the bw/btr lsd will never hold up to your expectations.
Time to invest in a mechanical/hydraulic locking diff... it'll probably cost more than your car is worth.

Wagon solid axle is the same as ute , sedan is different.

Now to break that down , the pan hard rod and shock mounts are in different spots , hence not being able to use a sedan diff in a ute/wagon.

open centre is GU4

LSD is GU8 on compliance plate ,also the tag on diff will say LSD High Performance for LSD , and just High performance for open centre diff.

2000 Vs Ute
go and have a look at track widths if you want to do a full swap.
only issue is, the ute diffs have the bumpstop plates and wagons etc don't always.

did a swap in my ute with a VN Wagon LSD, exact same width, so straight swap.
was recoed so didn't have to get anything done.
although I replaced just about everything else on there and made it look newer :p

the other option is to get the correct internals and do just a swap whats inside.
which if you want to do that, I would suggest seeing a diff specialist and have them do it.

and goodluck.

My ute has the wagon diff ( LSD ) , straight bolt in , but as previously mentioned , bump stop plates , this kinda explains why ive chewed a few out. Think i need higher springs lol

Straight swap from wagon to ute, and if you want something a bit funner then LSD why not try a mini spool? mind you there not legal but then again neither is frying em up haha.
