VS V8 dizzy issues

OK fellas, I need some help with my VS V8 distributor. You know the one buried between the firewall and the block. The manual is next to useless because all it says is “remove the distributor” :bang: – but how? Does any one have any simple steps on how to do this? I hope it is not an engine out affair as it is awfully cramp in there. I have traced my stop/starting problem to the stator in the dizzy and it has been suggested I replace to entire dizzy – your thoughts here would also be appreciated

dizzy cap a real tesser!!!

I had the same problem,i had to drop the eng mount on the passager side so i could get to the dizzy cap out. Cap can come out without dropping eng mount but you have to take leads off and do a bit of a wiggle to get it out and if you need leads on then its a real hassle but keep at it.hope this helps.
