I have a 98 vs v8 statesman series 3 330ks on clock driving in a straight line has no problems but when i turn a corner at 20kmh or more and try accelerating it loses power like i e hit brakes or something then will come good in a sec or two i know its not traction control cause if it starts spinning first before i turn it doesnt do it also only idles round 500-600 rpm and steering gets heavy when near full lock

could be the common swirl pot issue in the fuel tank causing fuel starvation around corners.

Does it still do it with a full tank?

It has done it on a full tank more common when it gets between quarter and half though

Could be the IAC not compensating for the extra load on the engine caused by the power steering pump.

If any extra load is placed on the engine, eg. air conditioning or power steering, the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) will open
to allow more air into the intake, thus bringing the revs back to normal.

Iac seems to be working properly idle changes when using air con car doesnt have much power when u dump it at bout 60kmh either unless u start in first and stay on it also changes to 2nd gear really quick on burnouts and just dies in the arse

VS Statesman
Yep agree with the swirlpot being damaged.

Even a blocked fuel filter can cause similar things, although not exactly the same symptoms as yours has. For less than $10 you might as well

Any ideas why it dies in the middle of a burnout
