i was suprised today when my sister rocked up in a friends vs wagon. i did not realise that the vs WAGON's had the same rear wheel arch design as the vn commodores? i have probably seen them on the road but just not noticed it lol. i knew from sedans that vr-vs had fully rounder rear wheel arches unlike the vn-vp commodres having the flat top bit for the rear wheel arches like my vn s-pak. just seems a little strange they kepts it for the wagons?

Saving those $$$$'s I suppose. Even the VP-VS utes have a similar rear flat top wheel arch to that of the wagons, but they are done in sheet metal.

I think it comes down to ecconomies of scale -they produce a **** load more sedans than utes/wagons so the cost of changing the rear wheel arch was not viable except on the sedans
