Vt 5.0 transmission lock out

Can anyone help with the following info please,
I'm wanting to override the auto shifting to full manualised, I've heard there is a diode hack for the ecu.
If anyone can shed some light please.

It should be do-able via the tune. I've done it before on a VS V8 burnout car. The factory tune forces the gear change when a certain speed is reached regardless of where the gear selector is placed. Max out the upshift speeds and it will hold the gear until either you change it or something goes bang.
