VT alarm rating, anybody know?

Does anyone know the official star rating for the standard alarm on a VT berlina and the VT acclaim? If anybody knows you could decrease my insurance excess, and I'd really appreciate that =D

pretty sure most insurance companys only reduce premiums for aftermarket alarms and immobilisers. factory fitted stuff doesn't make it any safer than any other VT.

Not safer than any other VT but I'm sure it's safer than an old VN etc. They try putting me down for no alarm since I don't know the star rating

VT's come standard with government approved immobilisers, ones that self-arm after a set time even if the car is unlocked. An alarm itself was an optional extra

Didn't think they had an alarm, i know about the immobiliser. Only reason i haven't bothered to install an aftermarket alarm is the cost. I'm just glad no one has tried to steal the car yet.

I know mine has the alarm, when my battery used to go flat i'd know all about it every time i connected up the charged battery with my face right next to the horn
Maybe I'll just tell them it's a 4 star alarm and go with that
