ive done a search and found a sticky for VT wiring colours as im installing my new 7inch dvd player and this is a thread i found on this site and it says this:

VN - VZ

Accesories - Yellow
Constant - Orange/White (i have tested the VT harness and came up with Orange/Black for constant power???)
Illumination - Brown/White
Earth - Black/White
12V OUTPUT - Yellow/Red
Radio Mute - Yellow/Black (VT onwards)
Antenna up - White (VR onwards)
Antenna down - Blue (VR onwards)
Illumination OUTPUT - Grey (VT onwards)

Speakers
Front Left (+) - Tan
Front Left (-) - Grey
Front Right (+) - Light/Green
Front Right (-) - Dark/Green
Rear Left (+) - Brown/Black
Rear Left (-) - Yellow/Blue
Rear Right (+) - Blue/Orange
Rear Right (-) - Blue/Black

maybe the author made a mistake on the colours for constant power?? i have a VT series 2 exectutive V6....if that makes any difference..

thoughts? i think im correct cos thats what the test light shows up with everything off - orange/black lights up when touched with the test light...

Just to add my 10c's in...

I have a JVC kd-pdr45 head unit, with an aeropro VT harness adapter which I'm trying to wire in.
The previous owner ripped out the in-dash wiring harness, leaving me with a bunch of rough wires.
Researched all manner of possible VT wire colour lists/combinations, but colour matching the wires is being a pain in the arse.

01 light green
02 dark green
03 green/black
04 orange/black
05 brown/white
06 yellow
07 yellow/black
08 yellow/green
09 tan
10 blue/black
11 blue/red
12 grey
13 grey
14 black/white

That's the wires I have in-dash, what are each of them, as some on most lists match, but then they're coloured wires that are listed but I don't actually have.

Which wires are which?

As stated you should take a serious look at the arepro range, veichle model to ISO and ISO to brand H/U, so you need a VT to ISO and ISO to alpine or what ever you have, and best of all no cutting the factory loom, its nice and neat. It seriously takes 10 mins to do a H/U with these things.
