Sorry if this has been asked before but will VT caliper brake lines fit on my VP or will I need adaptors?
I have the complete VT caliper, rotors and VP hub adaptors but not sure about the lines.

Thanks

My neighbour stole my brake lines out of my VN. I installed VX lines in my VN without issue.

Adapters or a flare tool to change it.

VN/VP is inverted flare (unless you have the finned calipers which should be bubble type)
VT is bubble flare

I've read that if done up extremely tight it can work, but it's a dodgy method... it's not just the flare type, the nut and where it mates the hose are also different to suit.

I've seen them welded up. That was pretty tight haha. It worked though!

Thanks everyone for the replies.
Looks like my lines are the inverted type. I looked at a few cars at Pick A Part and VP up to October 92 seems to have the inverted flare.
Nov 92 on has the bubble flare. Mine is a Aug 92.
Looks like i will have to get an adaptor.

vs commodore should be bubble flare too. im converting my ls1 VP calais completely to VS irs brake lines. going braided flexable lines, VT calipers and VT booster/master cylinder. went to the wreckers and stripped various VS cars for the lines i needed. unfortunately the safebrake braided kit i bought didnt do an inverted kit for the early VP.

Can I use the standard VT brake hoses? I have some adaptors to convert from VT to VP fittings.
I have heard they are a bit short for the VP.

Thanks
