I was driving a mates VX the other day and noticed his brakes are heaps more sensative and responsive than my VT's, I noticed that it was easier to put your foot down and there was a lot more braking force, did they change anything in the VX regarding brakes like master cylinder etc.

His has ABS whereas mine does not, but this is just low speed braking where it wouldn't skid anyway. I do have good tyres and new heavy duty bendex pads.

Do you know what pads your friends car has? Maybe something performance rather than heavy duty

You probably have air in the brake lines. Try replacing the brake fluid with some super dot4 and bleeding the brakes.

All comes down to the pad, the discs (to a lesser degree), and very importantly for pedal feel, the brake fluid and lines.

Might give that a go then, because I know my pads and discs are good.

It's the new heavy duty pads your running, high performance / heavy duty brake pads there a high heat brake pad, there less responsive when there cold but they hot they will out brake the STD pads. That's the difference. Not a lot of people realize this.

No, the problem was much worse before I changed to new pads.
