Hey guys,

I picked up a VT commodore about a week ago that had a crappy single din headunit. The wiring was so ####ed that it had no constant 12v and all the wires were twist and taped with gaffa tape!!!

Anyway, went to pick and payless this morning amd picked up a stock double din headunit with the wiring pigtails. I soldered and heatshrunk colour to colour. Howwver I have a couple wires leftover. Plus the headunit lights up (dims when headlights are on), however doesnt display anything. I was understanding that once it was switched on it would ask for a secure code??

The following wires are leftover from the headunit plug i got today.
Pin 1 tan
Pin 13 light blue
Pin 14 white.

Leftover from body loom
light brown

I suggest that you double check your wiring because something obviously isn't correct. Search further back on the loom to see if you can locate your missing wires.
