This is probably a silly question but are the front and rear rotors different in size and what size should the rear rotors be
I've seen a thread on how to change the rotors but I'm wondering why the rear are under size
Yes silly question I know I've never really done much work on any car I've owned but since I got the vt it's been fun haha

standard VT fronts should be 296mm diameter, rears 286mm diameter. Most of your car's braking is done by the front wheels so the rear discs don't need to be as big. Also the contact surface is about half because the rear discs also house the hand brake.

Yes they are different. Ebay has some decent deals on DBA and Brembo.

The front brakes do majority of the work. Which is why they are bigger.

I've taken it in for 2 road worthy's at 2 different places and they both say the rear rotors are under size I'm guessing that the rear rotors I have on now are smaller then the recommended size Would that be right

Unless the car is infront of us, you couldn't really tell.

Do you have the specs of the rear rotors which are currently on the car?

I think by "undersize" they mean they are worn and are too thin. And under the min spec limit.
Not that the outer diameter is smaller than factory spec.

^^ this is correct
Means they are too thin as they wear down. With some vernier calipers you can measure the thickness. Sometimes the minimum thickness is stamped on the face of the rotor. I know fronts are 25mm. I think rears are 22 or 23. You will have to research.

Correction the rotors are OEM and good and cheap no worries but the TORA brake pads are a different story lol, may as well not have brakes.
