VT Drag Project - Engine Is here!!

Hi People,
In case you didn't know, after playing around with numerous power-up things for the V6, I decided to get serious with my VT.
As you can see by the pics, there is a lot of work involved in this and as serious as it looks, the fun has only just begun.
The set up you see there was built by McDonald Bros. Racing and will handle anything I will throw at it for the near future, now the initial cut is made, I have to trim the floorpan forward and manouvere the clip into position and align it with the car, then weld it into place.
I will keep this thread updated as best I can. :)

Thanks for the encouragment guys, this has been on the cards for a while, so i am finally happy to be doing some constructive work instead of just stripping old parts off of the car!
As for the V6, I sold the short motor to another guy on this forum, I still have everything else.
Something else entirely will be powering the VT along.

'That' engine would blow a TH400 to pieces....would be an awesome sight!
To squash any reservations anyone may have...I am going to run a big block chev with mechanical injection on alcohol, naturally aspirated...nothing too out of the ordinary, just a good reliable recipe for power....
Will post more up when I can.....

Hey there Nick nice project, Big Block on Alcohol. Funny how things plan out, my best mate has just started toying with one also - Big Block with mechanical injection on Alcohol. I'll put a pic of the engine up here for you to get more inspired. I'll try to do something useful with your donor engine too, but just not as full on.

Cheers

Thanks Deek. I must say, that is a fairly unusual looking intake on that big block right there....Have you got any more info on the engine and car?
Cheers

I'll find out what I can Nick and let you know.
My mate has only just got it over from the states like about two weeks ago. It will be a huge learning curve for all of us I think. When I'm next down in the city again I'll get some close ups of the intake etc for you as well as what other info might help.

Cheers

Deek
