VT Rims & Lower

Hey Everyone,

I have a VT Exec S1 with FE2 suspention.
I am goin to buy rims (probably 18") and dump it.
I have heard about getting new shocks and a camber kit....
It has done nearly 240,000 (lol yea i know!) so I guess it will probably need new shocks??
Do I need a camber kit put on?
Will I need to do anything different because of the FE2?
Anyone know of the best place in West. Suburbs Vic to get this done
And also an estimate of how much i should be paying (minus the rims)

with FE2 springs simple answer no new shocks and camber are not needed.
But any lower and id say yes most definetly get new shocks and a camber kit.
With 240,000 on the clock your shocks are well worn and need replacing any way unless its been done before. Hope this helps

You DEFINATELY need a camber kit if it's any lower than FE2, and if you want, even with FE2. Camber is already bad on VTs.

You won't need to do anything different, FE2 is just the springs in it, won't make a difference, just take them out and put your new ones in, along with shocks etc.

You WILL need new shocks, if you're going to "dump" it. You'll get short travel shocks, you'll get a firmer and better ride/handling.

Don't pay any more than $1200 for 4 springs, shocks and a camber kit. That's not trade price, just retail. Trade price pay no more than $1000.

Do you need a camber kit for the series 2 if you drop it lower than fe2 height?

not for the vx s2 and beyond but definately for a vt s1
