VT SS with an easy life.

Hi All,

I have a great VT Calais which is nothing much to look at but I love it anyway.
Lately I have been looking for a VT manual to keep it company and today I brought home this:

Genuine one owner car with no mods and a real 67000kms.
Drives great, a real time capsule.
I'm pretty happy and look forward to cleaning it up and making it just that bit better.

shame it's a VT, have they had all the early teething issues on the LS and the rear suspension.

It is real tight. No squeaks or rattles, tight engine and good handling. Needs a good exterior detail and a few scrapes fixed but the car is in great condition. Garaged all it's life. The rubbers and mouldings are all in new condition. Still has the original stereo etc. The rooflining isnt sagged and it has not been flogged. Has extractors and some sort of aftermarket system but is as quiet as stock. I might just leave it that way for now. For now....

Sure it's a garden variety VT SS but try finding one with so few kms. I paid $7K for it which is a lot for a VT but it's virtually what I was looking for and could be a great blank canvas if I ever want to mod it.

With petrol at record prices, I'm not surprised.

But in years to come all these Aussie V8's will be collectors items.
