vt steering wheel buttons

hi all
need help with an upgrade, l have a 2000 series 11 vt berlina with the standard single slot cd,am/fm radio & tape deck. i have added the steering wheel buttons,l have also updated the clock spring to suit the buttons. what else is needed to make these buttons work?

Was this ever worked out?

My Son has a S2 VT Berlina that he has fitted a VX steering wheel with buttons and a clock spring and he cant work out what else is needed to make it work.

did the vt wheel have buttons
did you have the brown and black/white wiring loom inside steering column to plug clock spring into
was clockspring new
did you fit a clockspring that supports steering wheel controls
