Well if the bolt is fucked, then yeah probably looking at a new DFI and brand new plug & SH cover and go from there.

i have a mate with another ecu with a chip in it that will bypass security do u think that has anything to do with no spark getting to car or could it be a stuffed harness

if the ecu is stuffed then maybe thats why nothing happening, doesnt the ecu control the timing and spark side of things,, i could be wrong im just guessing

If he changed the ECU without linking it to the BCM it won't start but I'm not sure if if the fuel is cut or the spark.
You might want to try the ECU with security disabled, see what happens.

so ive got power in dfi plug but still no spark in coils? could it be the harmonic balancer that needs replacing

ive changed the dfi module twice today so im starting to think harmonic balancer,,, how can u even tell if balancer is stuffed without it making any noise

If the balancer is not noisy then it's probably ok. Even when they are noisy the car will generally still run. The CAS behind the balancer on the other hand can be buggard and will stop the engine from having spark.
