vt versus vx -is there a difference

And i just had a look around and the air controls are the same from vt s1 to vx s2 except for the climate control models... There might be a difference in colours but thats about it...

They changed in the vy's because the dash was a new design

lol theres no difference interior wise betwen s1 vt and s2.

i just helped my dad put a S1 VX motor/gearbox into a S1 VT and it wont start :| some wiring was different i can say that. too look at they are almost identical.

Please Tyrefryer can you elaborate on the difference in wiring and what you and Dad changed to make it work.....having problems with VX V6 engine transplanct into VT (V6).
Need help.

if its a s1 manual against a s2 auto then the disadvatnage cancels itself out, i cant see a stock v6 5 speed beating a healthy 5 litre even if it is auto.

Clearly you havent done it!!!

Its a heck of a lot to do with driver..

Other thing is i think manuals are lighter to being as the auto ways a fair bit and i can pick a getrag 5spd up with one and and walk around with it???
