Hey guys, vt v6 had some dramas driving then cutting out went to start it the other day and nothing, got reds but won't even click the starter motor, I've changed the ECU and PCM and fob but still the same thing got reds but won't even crank, I can crank it at the starter motor, key won't even lock or unlock the car any help will be appreciated before I pass it on to the wreckers

need matching ecu pcm snd key, there is a start relay in the fuse box under bonnet, change with hi beam relay is the same,

Cheers, I got all matching ECU PCM and fob il change relays today thanks again, if doesn't work do u want the car hahaha

Did you try any other trouble shooting before you swapped the ECU? Crank angle sensor etc...? Usually if it's an ECU issue it'll be something constant, not like cutting out.

You could try putting the memcal from the original ECU into the new one and seeing if that changes anything.

if remote wont unlock car, it is unlikely to start it
refit all your original components and diagnose from there
does red mode led go out
does original remote unlock car, did it unlock before this fault

It used to unlock and lock car now it wont so I changed he ECU and stuff, this car has got stuffed I'm pretty mechanically minded but this car has got me il try crank angle sensor tomorrow and let ya know how I go

stop firing the parts cannon
step back and diagnose it
sounds like you may have originally had a bcm problem
like i said refit all of the original parts and go from there
does the red mode light go out
do you have serv error on dash

The red mode light is out, but it's like the immobilizer is still on because the fuel pump doesn't pump or anything

ok is mode light on until you press unlock or insert key or is it always out
sounds like ecu is not functioning
have you checked dash engineering mode yet
Trip computer diagnostic codes
Hold mode and up arrow then turn key to on or start
Release buttons
then
Press Mode = Dash Part Number - e.g. 1731
Press Mode = Mode Switch Voltage - e.g. BV - - - 5.0
Press Mode = Battery Voltage - e.g. V 11.8
Press Mode = Petrol Sender Voltage - e.g. FUEL 02.6
Press Mode = LPG Sender Voltage - e.g. VL 5.0
Press Mode = Remaining Fuel - e.g. 38L
Press Mode = Instantaneous Fuel (Liters per Hour) - e.g. 12.8 L/H
Press Mode = Engine Coolant Temp - e.g. 63 C
Press Mode = Vehicle Speed - e.g. 45 KM/H
Press Mode = Tachometer - e.g. 2380
Press Mode = Park Lamps Switch - e.g. P OFF
Press Mode = Dash Trouble Codes - e.g. t 00 (Press up/down to scroll through any codes, these are not PCM, ABS, etc codes)
Press Mode = Dash Test - All gauges will move, lights will come on and buzzer will sound.
Turn key off will revert to normal dash

Dash trouble codes
Format is t then code number then history then current some have nu which I cant remember but believe was not used
Eg
t00-- is fuel gauge sender open circuit no history and no current faults
t16h- is abs history codes but no current fault

00 Fuel gauge sender unit — open circuit
01 Fuel gauge sender unit — short circuit
02 Fuel gauge sender unit — intermittent
03 Fuel gauge sender unit — open circuit
04 LPG gauge sender unit — open circuit
05 LPG gauge sender unit — short circuit
06 LPG gauge sender unit — intermittent
08 No serial data from ABS
09 No serial data from BCM
10 No serial data from ECC
11 No serial data from PCM
12 No serial data from SDM
13 No instrument poll from BCM
14 No serial communication
15 No Sub-clock
16 ABS or ABS/ETC fault logged
17 BCM fault logged
18 ECC fault logged
19 PCM fault logged
20 SDM fault logged
21 Trip switch short circuit
22 Trip switch button stuck
24 EE checksum error
25 ROM checksum error
26 Internal fault

Thanks, I done the dash trouble codes and they all said nu until I got to number 24-25 and 26 then 27 to 31 went back to nu the gauges didn't even do a test just the digital part of the dash didn't even buzz
