hey guys just seeing if anyone can give us the heads up about this......i have a 99 vt just bought tuesday night and stopped wednesday night i already know ive been takin on a ride BUT the thing over heats terribly and i have replaced water pump and heater tap but still no reliability at all..... any answers will be helpful the car started making a pinging sound as i entered my driveway..... any info muchly appreciated

also no oil in water or vice versa so it has me stumped

are you able to get it to a mechanic? how many kms has it done?

Do the cooling fans come on and did you bleed the cooling system?

yeah the fans come on... and bled it from a bottle atop of the rad above the engine

and done around 230000 kms

this sounds exactly the same as my car! had it for a week then i took it to the mechanic for a check over and the heads were destroyed, needed a full rebuild $3000 later.... is yours a supercharged 6 or standard 6?

Have you had the system pressure checked? Could have a blocked radiator? Did u bleed air from the screw atop the thermostat housing?

yeah done all that and its just a stocker v6.....think its time for the tip for this one...lol
