I am hoping someone can help me. I did a search but found nothing.

Have a VTII Berlina with around 135k on the clock. When under load, say pulling up a hill, it tends to give a strong kick, like it's missed a beat. It's especially bad in top gear, until it changes down (auto) and the revs pick up, but it has also been known to do it in the lower gears. At first I thought maybe plugs and/or leads, but would that be affected by load or engine speed? What else? Something in the gearbox perhaps? or a uni joint or something?

Any help appreciated.

Ok. Plugs and leads are easy to do so will give that a go first. Air filter is fairly new but will check it anyway. Thanks for the replies.
