Sorry if I sound stupid but just wondering if a 2 1/2" exhaust system will bolt on to a standard cat converter

Depends if it was made for that particular car? A 2.5" cat back is a very general term, if its made for your car and you haven't moved the cat then yes it will...

I would recommend the "manta" systems that not an abba fan ( jc team member) sells they're pretty good and reasonably priced!

Should do . Just ask for a 'Catback' for your model. Tell/ask for bolt on to stock. That's what the shop is for.

I just got a 2 1/2 inch catback onto my stock VX v6. Bolted straight up. Even used original gasket on the back of the cat.

Well me personally I find it very droney... Needs to be a bit more raspy like the manta systems..... But that could be my personal preference....

Mine came with amounts in mm that needed cutting off to suit which body type it was going on. Measure it first !!. Mine said to cut too much off. Your's might be right for the bodytype anyway?

Give it prolly 2 weeks and the drone will irritate you something chronic, just saying this as to keep the orig exhaust cat back cos you may wanna revert :) but yeah eBay one red back 2.5 cat back and make sure you have a good stereo fitted :)

yeh , I kept my stock catback but I tend to keep one spare of anything if it comes up. Have only got the sad stock stereo and no specialist stereo store here tho : (
