Vx heater not working

Hey guys all of a sudden the heater in my berlina is only blowing cold air i checked the tap it moves on and off when you press cold or hot inside the car but it does have dine corrosion around it do you think it's clogged or not working or something ?

Just because it moves, doesn't mean it working.
I'd replace it.

Undo the inlet and outlet hoses to the heater and flush it out with the hose .

Try this with the engine OFF.
Take the hoses off the engine and shove a hose up one and see if you get a steady flow out the other.
Hold the heater tap open or bypass it.

Bad radiator cap.
It's not drawing coolant from the overflow reservoir.
Therefor it's creating a vacuum.
