ok ... so im looking into buying a vx ss ... i havent really dealt with the vt/vx models before as i have only owned later models. any ideas on common problems i should keep my eyes out for ... also what sort of price should i be looking at picking one up for

couple of other questions
1. can you fit 20's on these, as i have a set of 20's from a ve that i would like to put on it
2. are they an irs setup

Irs - yes.

20's yes, But have tyre scrub problem's. Also, wheel's will need to be machined to be able to fit if they are off VE

Thats a common issue on the vt - vx, Tyre wear issue's, Series 2 VX still has this issue even with the revised control link but not quiet as bad, A camber kit can reduce this problem.

What part of the wheel is it that needs to be machined?

What about engine faults ... Or tells in the car that I should look out for

Rear main seal can leak, same with power steering connections.

Otherwise pretty solid cars.
