VX II
HI,
I am thinking of putting my V6 VX II on LPG. It is just a standard VX II with no mods.

What is the best system for the car. I can not seem to get an answer.
Imco has a factory type system that links to the cars ECU. That sounds good, but it is almost priced out of the market.

Will any other systems link, or map to the cars ECU ?

What experience have you had.

Backfiring seems to be a common problem. Are any systems worse than others?

Thanks

Mike

Jeez, I've got a VXII Exec, I got from the auctions too.. Copy much?

Mine's on LPG and runs like a dream..

I'm pretty sure I've got the Impco system..

Backfiing only occurs when the tune f*cks up.. You need to get it tuned every year, because the LPG's a carby system..

If you keep your LPG serviced, it will NOT backfire..

Thanks for the info.
Sounds like I dont really need a multi point injection system, just a well tuned standard one.
How is a gas system tuned?
I thought it tuned itself from the O2 sensor.

Can you recomend anyone on the Gold Coast?

They dyno tune gas systems.. The best places do at least..

A gas system has a lot to do with ignition.. Plugs, leads, coils, all have to be in tip top condition.. Or else..

Sorry mate, I'm in Melbourne..

Holden recommends the IMPCO system for their cars.
I imagine you could go with another brand, but I'd be inclined to stick with whats recommended.

I'd recommend it to any1 thinking about converting.
I'm the same as Shounak it runs perfect. You cant really tell the difference between either fuel.

Best money I've spent on the car so far. My wallet doesn't fell so light anymore.

Be prepard to wait for the install though. i had to wait 6 months for mine. I'd almost forgotten bout it when they rang me.
