VX Commodore S2
Hey all..

Ive got an VX S pack and wanting to replace those nice black cup holders in the front with driving lights.

Do i need to get the 'SS' switch and the original lights?

Or can i get generic lights that fit into the holes in the front bumper and hook them up to my normal lights or an on/off switch?

If the latter is possible, where can i get lights from that fit snuggly?

Cheers

At least you will have the wiring harness behind the bumper yeah?

My VXII Berlina doesn't and I am most annoyed!

I put the lights in myself.
The loom is there, just tucked up out of the way.
I used genuine gear, that way it for one looked original and I didnt have to dick around fitting any cheap aftermarket crap.
You'll have to get a genuine relay, that'll slot straight in,
And once again it'll be easier to get the genuine switch, also just plugs straight in. . .

Use Genuine Parts

As per the other replies - use genuine ss lights, relay and switch. The relay just plugs into the fuse box in the engine. The lights will be easy to fit in the pre cut holes and connect to the wires.

You may need to cut a hole in the dash (carefully) to place the genuine holden switch.

As with my install on my S pak - you may find the orange dash light does not come on - the reason being the bulb was not pre installed - a bit of hassle to install but not too complicated and I believe a legal requirement to have a dash warning light.

Well worth the upgrade as I find the lights useful and bright..Also looks much better.
