Picked up myself a VX series 2, only issue is when i put it into reverse no lights come on (auto)

I have checked the globes and put new ones in, could it be the wires near the gearbox? Or under the selector?

Nothing under the selector I'm afraid.
It's all on the side of the gear box.
Switch could be knackered.
