Im new at this..I have a VX SS and want to ask someone a few questions.

should be 12 x 1.5 mm and socket size 19mm or 21mm

Depends
Whole dash and heater box - 10hrs
Dash Fascia and gear surround - 3mins
Centre console - 1hr

As uniacidz says.
It's not that hard. You just have to know in what order to do it and where the screws are as some are hidden.
One good thing about it is all the screws are the same (in the VT anyway) Suppose the VX is the same.
If you haven't done it before it probably will take you longer than what uniacidz says.
Get a Gregory's manual or similar and follow it to the letter and u can't go wrong. They are worth the money for things like that.
I've had my VT dash apart so many times I can do it with my eyes shut. lol

pretty easy to remove the dash just depends on how much you want to remove, centre console is about 30 mins
