G'day,

Not a big issue but more of an annoyance:

Whenever I take the car out in the morning when it's cold i depress the throttle a bit and it takes a few seconds for the revs to actually start building up. All of a sudden the revs jump up and the car lurches forward. It's a manual so it's kind of a pain taking off.

Any ideas? Maybe I should depress the throttle a couple of times before starting the car to make sure the cable is moving correctly?

Any ideas appreciated.

Cheers,

Nick.

Maybe a couple of drops of oil on the throttle cable and linkage at the throttle body.

get someone to press the accel whilst you look at your throttle seeing if its getting stuck, it may just need a decent clean

Idle control motor is no doubt stuffed not letting enough air bypass when cold

Really? Because it still seems to gain revs smoothly under no load when cold. It only becomes an issue when i'm letting the clutch out?
