VX tail lights on VT

Damn left hand reverse light, Alright I've read a few places on here but still don't get it.
What I've done so far is

- Green wire right to Blue/red wire Left = no light shows up when reverse.
- Green wire right to green wire left = reverse light shows up when you brake, no light when reverse.

The green wire, is that the small wire that's not attached to anything on the right? Is this the one I'm using to attach to the left side?

Quick update,

Left Green - Right Green - Reverse light works but left side indicator doesn't stay on in reverse like it does on right.

no pics so i dont really know what your doing
have you got a test light?
test all wires separately and label them when you know what it is.
sounds like you have a feed back through the earth if indicator is working fine but stuffs up when in reverse

Light Green (Driver's side) to Red/Blue (Passenger's side).

NOT the small wire that's not attached to anything on the right.
Use the light green wire that goes into the tail light housing.
