Hi,
I had a tyre repaired the other day and the tyre shop said my wheel nuts were "elongating" my alloy rim stud holes.
They suggested I go to sprints and get some "alloy rim wheel nuts", but after ringing around no one knows of these "alloy rim wheel nuts".
Has anyone out there heard of them.
I'm feeling a little like a dumb ass at the moment.
Thanks in advance,
Tones.

Ok so im guessing that you are running the standard steel rim wheel nuts, the alloy wheel nuts have a large acorn taper at the bottom, this is what you need to get. But if your stud holes are elongated I would have them re drilled and sleeved to save your wheels coming loose when you drive, if it is bad that is.

Just get normal acorn tapered nuts, they are all 60º taper which is what your standard nuts are.

Most tyre shops don't have a clue.
