Anyone in the know on how many of these were made in total?

Mines Build 007 Manual/Sunroof/Non-Leather also if there is any numbers on individual combos

You can authenticate your HSV, surely that's good enough?

Going to throw out an assumption, but if the OP is trying to insure the car well above what they consider market value I imagine they require some evidence of the cars value.

Being able to say 'it's 3 of 10 made' would help this.

To get it insured higher i need to show legit information on how rare they are. Currently insured as a run of the mill series 2 manual r8 with a sunroof

All i've found so far is a forum post saying "20 or so were made"

Andrew Purcell from HSV has got back to me via email

There were 25 of these cars released

Judging by the fact majority of the ones i've seen for sale and are currently for sale are automatics, i think this will be a car to keep for a bit
