Vy cluster replacement

Hey fellas I got a quick question on clusters.

I have a 08/04 crewman ute the cluster has shat the bed and I've got my eyes on a Calais cluster, just wana make sure will it go into my car before committing to it.
Ive inclued a picture of the back of the calais cluster.

I have a Calais cluster in my VY executive.....The surround where the loom plugs into must be grey, as opposed to black for the VZ range.

Then you need someone with a scanner that can make sure the correct number of airbags are programmed into the cluster.

I will tag @Fu Manchu with this, as I followed his instructions when it came to replacing my cluster, so hopefully he pops in to give his input over it

You can install a Calais or Stato cluster. V6 or V8.

You will need to send it off to be set up for your car. Kms will be set to those present and airbags, speedo, body type as well as what alarms you want will be programmed in.

Envyous Customs will be the go to business.

I’d suggest you get the seat belt warning chime disabled as well. Drives me insane eating lunch in the car on a cold day with the heater on.

Make sure it is VY. Grey plug (I think?)
VZ is blue? geez I hope I have that the right way around.

check if its a series 1 or 2 cluster as fueal gauges can flip around causing issues

I have a vident i400 tool around $300 atm and that can programme all the stuff except kms change. Great scan tool.

I put a 3 window cluster from a VX berlina in a vtss and works great aft changing cluster to a V8

is this true the vident can fix series i and series ii fuel sender mismatch

Mine doesn't have the belt chime....In saying that, I wasn't watching when it was put in the car and programmed...He just asked about airbags and something else that I can't remember

As for the plug colour....You are correct for the VY colour...It is grey....Just checked my old stuffed up one....So your memory is still working there

When it comes to the fuel gauge...I remember the fella that went to put my cluster in...The one I supplied originally had the gauge reading backwards....So he sold me a Calais one($20, so I was ripped off ) which got the gauge reading correctly....

unsure but it can change ute and sedan fuel readings
