ok guy's, i drive a vy series2, and i got a question for you all.

now under acceleration, it dead set sounds like it has swallowed a whistle, it whistles when ever you accelerate, what's goin on? the car belongs to a bunch of disabled guys fair enough, they only lease the car, and it can go back for a warranty job, but im just curious as to what's goin on? as they get rid of the car on thursday and get a vz on friday, so im exited about that, but why the whistle, it's a v6 station wagon, nothing special, it's a deffenant engine whistle, we got any ideas?

cheers
garth

take the turtle shell cover off... and check the vaccum line underneath the throttle body..

few other questions..

Does it run rough ?
Does it wistle as you back off the pedal ?
Is the wistle there are idle ?

Could be one of two things,

Your heater controls are all on vacum.. the vaccum lines break and thus suck air.

Vaccum line under the throttle body is very common for them to break and suck air at least 2 out of 10 i do have this problem..

Seeing as its covered by warrenty go get her checked out :)
