VY SS Ls1 fuel effiency

guys,,, i dont understand!

i average min like 19 ltr and thats not bumper to bumper, average speed of 30 to 40km.

i think something is wrong with my car? anyone else have any ideas?

i have a vy ss series 2 ute

i dont know really, i know the previous guy put a cat back exhust on, i have never had anything better then like 18 for normal every day driving,

i have recently had gas injection installed and its prob about 5 - 10% less efficient.

i have asked people to see if it had a mafless tune while it was in service but no one can tell,

some people have mentioned tunes on here to improve fuel,, what tunes can you do? isnt it all managed auto by the ecu?

where abouts are you located mate? your best of taking it to your local performance shop and having a good chat with them, they'll be able to reccommend you a tune based on your needs/wants ie. if your after getting the most fuel efficency with a mixture of power etc etc.

i have a VY SS II manual with OTR, pacemakers headers, exhuast + hi flow cats and an oztrack mafless tune and i get between 11-12 l/100 half city driving half hwy driving,
have had it to 7.7 L/100 on hwy but usually will sit about 8.8 l/100,

I'm stoked with that and for the power its very fuel efficient, mate's got an xr6t similiar driving gets much worse fuel economy, Get a holden

I have a stock VY SS.

Get around 13.5/100km on the highway and anywhere between 15-17/100km every where else.

Got my car back from the warranty guy the other day and it was sitting on 21.5/100km.. spoke a few words to them.

Dad's WH II stato returns about 10L/100km in the hills, unsure around town yet (just picked up the other day)
