VY ss Ute no fuel pump power

Hey fellas, struggling here, Ute has been sitting for about a year, bought it and tried to get it going, it cranks but does not fire

It has spark,

The fuel pump is not activating at all, removed the pump and tested, pump works fine, fuses and relay seems to be fine, am I missing something here? I understand the pump will only power up for a short period prior to start up,

Correct, pump basically only fires up to pressurize, and prime the injectors,
and when it starts, it runs continuously,

First, check to make sure there is power at the pump,

I don’t believe there is power at the pump, I have a feeling something isn’t telling the pump relay to do its job. Fuel gauge works as it should.

Feelings and beliefs are not a basis of diagnosing faults. Faults are tested and proved with data.

Is the power at the pump? Yes or No. Move to next step. Is there a trigger signal? Yes or no. Make the progress based on data, not assumptions and guesses.

I doubt a part number is even relative now. You won’t be able to buy it from Holden anymore.

You need one with the three barbs on the top for VY. V8 and V6 are the same pump, though reuse your current sender when reassembling everything.

Make sure you replace the filter.

The ls1 pump push 58psi v6 push less are v6 and v8 Ute tanks the same size or anyone know what or if there is any pump for ls1 that’ll fit the v6 tank? Or are they the same size pump and I’m just overthinking it. If anyone can save me the hassle and link me a ls pump that’ll drop straight in the v6 tank. Would I need a pump specifically for utes or sedan/wagon fit also? Is actually frustrating

The same pumps are listed for both v6 and V8.

You need an assembly that has the three barbs.

Fuel tanks are not different.

I have the same pump in my LS1 as I do in my V6 because they are listed as the same part.
