Vy steering rack

Hey guys. Steering rack has let go in my mates vy. But we have a ve series 1 parts car here with a good steering rack. Does anyone know if its possible to put a ve steering rack into a vy. Thanks.

Two totally different racks. Best option is to get an exchange/reconditioned rack for about $250.00.
