i was wondering can you put a smaller pulley on the standard VY Calais supercharge with out having to do anything else to the motor and it not wrecking the motor bcos of the extra power?

10 pound pulley is a very safe bet. Anything higher and you might want to look at a tune and a intercooler.

An 87mm pulley is the go. Used to be referred to as a 10psi but really it varies from car to car.

Changing the fuel filter at the same time as the pulley goes on and running 98 octane fuel is a smart move. The ECU will adapt to quite a few mods and give you a nice little power increase.

The L67 is a very robust little engine so as long as servicing is up to scratch and you don't put too small a pulley on it the engine will survive quite happily without an issue at all
