i have a july 2004 series 2 VY ...the last of them made

my exhaust has 2 cats, unlike previous series 1

i too want headers like these, but yes you gotta have them modified

occasionally you see series 2 headers around, they are shorter, because the 2 cats come right up close almost in the engine bay

you can get the above headers, but yes will cost you more to be modified

im not sure but did the vz keep this 2 cat design and maybe VZ headers will fit on the ecotec?? at the head?

I can confirm the VZ (Alloytec) headers will most definitely not fit the VY (Ecotec) the exhaust ports are different, although the cats may be the same
I think I might be lucky, because mine's been made catless. I don't think it'll cost too much more than a standard exhaust weld up...
May main concern is does the VY have two o2 sensors...

on your ebay ones i dont like that O2 sensor extended pipe thing, id image it would give false readings cos its not directly having the O2 in the straight line of exhaust....would only provide redirected sample, if makes sense

NOoooooo far too much $$$

will cost you 400 for headers and 300+ to modify them anyway :)

The extended pipe is for the EGR, the 2 o2 sensors are little lumps down in the chamber

Yes, but if I get those 800 ones I'd still have to pay for modifications... besides, I'm over the ditch... it'd be over a grand for me to get them here
