VE SS 2009 V8
HI
I am having a performance issue with my VZ 170 alloytec 2005 execitive sedan ( bought 2 months ago ) Got no balls (lack of power)

and the sad thing is

My wife bought a 2004 Suzuki Grand Vitara 4 WD V6 2.5 ltr last weekend and it has heaps more get up and go than my commodore it would leave me behind

I have booked it in to Holden tommorow for a service and told them its gutless and can they take a look

Is Holden capable of tuning these cars or are they just good for an oil change?

I cant aford to get the ECU reflashed as going to buy another house soon
Cheers

Well I will see what its like tommorow
after Holden has looked at it
and if my wifes Grand Vitara is still quicker than it
I might put it up for sale and probably buy a Ford XR6

The Grand vitara is only supposed to be about 1/2 a second slower than the commodore to 100 km so its not really surprising.
While your car may be a little slower its nothing to be concerned about every car is different and yours will prob be alot better after the service anyway.
If you like the commodore and you want something quicker why not look at the SV6 or the calais which are a bit quicker ?

FG XR6T Ute manual
its not a performance issue its just the fact that the 175/173 alloytec's are very very crap.

Why not buy an SV6 instead for the alloytec 190?

I would not bother with an XR6 unless its an XR6 Turbo, the standard XR6 isn't too quick. And if its performance you want, why not look into an SS?

Vz 170...

I have no problem pumping a Ba XR6...
My mate has a VZ Storm ute, 175kw,
His ute is just behind me, and would do an XR6 for sure...
Maybe his is a freak, but yours should be going OK!!

I've got an Equipe with the 175kw engine and it goes like a ripper I just touch the accelerator and it flies, I can't believe that people are finding them so bad, is it the expectation that it is going to run like a v8.
I just had the software re-flashed for the fuel guage and it still goes fantastic.
What more can I say??
