VZ 6L 6spd gearbox noises

Yep its a pain in the but. I pulled up at some lights tonight was waiting there in neutral, the lights went green and I tried to put it in 1st but couldn't... Looked in the rear view mirror and there was a truck coming up behind me that was anticipating that I would go... I got it into 2nd, cringed and rode the clutch and pulled off in 2nd gear... A wee bit dangerous!!

Not a big fan of my gearbox! Pretty crap effort for a brand new $40k plus car.

id be taking it back to the dealer there no way thats ok mine is nothing like that , sure when cold its a bit stiff but once warm its fine.
Did you get hold of the torqo gearbox oil ?

no torqo yet Slugg. Only at 2000kms at the mo.

Where did you get yours from?

The dealer knows I'm not happy with the box and are gonna look at it when it goes in for the 3k service.

My gearbox can be really clunky especially when the missus drives it - if you don't time your gear changes correctly mainly between 1st and 2nd at higher revs 2.5rpm upwards. I know it will always cluck if you don't time it correctly but it is really loud and I would have thought it should have a little more leaneancy? I have had a feel of the tail shaft and it rolls/slops about 1/4 of a turn, is that normal?
