Hey everyone. Need to know other peoples experiences with the Aisin D173 gearbox, the one mated to the VZ alloytec.
My ute has done 153,000km and i think the clutch is starting to go...just wondering at what point other peoples cluches have gotten to (kilometres wise) before they needed replacement. Im aware there probably arent many VZ's over the 150,000km mark, but hopefully someone can field this question. :)
Btw, im the second owner, i've had a look through service history etc etc & nothing is mentioned about a new clutch being put in.
I just wanna know how other people have gone before i lash out 1500 for a new clutch setup etc
Cheers!

go solid flywheel, you wont regret it, you have to replace the flywheel anyway because its dual mass,

the only problem is youll get gearbox chatter at low revs etc which is pretty annoying but the driveability gain is worth it
