Battery needed replacing when i bought it, jump started it, then the cluster wasn’t working. came back a week later and it was fine. removed and replaced old with battery (same part number) and it didn’t work again, thought i’d leave it another week, did not fix itself that time sadly.

Security light is only thing working on the cluster. already checked fuses and power from cluster connector. ground point front right inner fender looks fine.
is there anyway other way i can make sure it’s the cluster that is faulty before forking out hard earned coin to replace it?

Having jump started the car, a voltage spike could have cooked something somewhere.

It’s not a great idea to jump start cars made in the last 30 years.

Finding the fault could be like finding a needle in a haystack.
