Hi just wondering what other engines would fit into a 2005 vz sv6? Thinking of swapping the current engine out and replacing with a new or used engine with low kms and also change the exhaust aswell for a bit more of a loud deeper sound to it, just wondering what other engines would fit and people's preferred exhaust setup for increased sound

IMO grab an LS1 and drop that in, they should be pretty cheap. you can probably get one with around 120,000km for $1500?
Add some pacemaker 4-1s from the wrecker, and a cat back system, high flow cats optional, should cost around an extra $800-1000 depending on what you are specifically after.
Then get an OTR intake, and a tune, and you should be laughing.

If you swap it out to another engine, don't forget you need to get it engineered, along with replacing a lot of other things also, ECU, BCM, etc.

If you are just replacing the SV6 engine to the exact same, making sure to match the engine numbers, you only have to swap the engine and not the ECU, etc.
