rule of thumb,

slotted front rotors
bendix front pads
machine rear rotors
genuine rear pads

flush brake fluid AND abs system (by holden)
and never have problems with your brakes again..... just an opinion...

Gotta ask why you recommend Holden. Do cycle the ABS whilst flushing?

You can do all 4 for the price of just DBA 4000's on the front. I think the DBA's are way over priced for what they are. The RDA's are a very good rotor as well, the curve slot design are always quieter than straight slot. With custom pattern that I use, I think the RDA's and RDX pads perform just as well as the DBA 4000's with Bendix Ultimates. And you will get all four including pads cheaper than just front DBA rotors.

Sounds good, I'll be getting them through you.

Has the middle of the rotor (hub bit) rusted yet? Personally that's my pet hate!

Ive seen people use the engine high temp spray (like youd use for calipers) to spray that area to stop it ... silver actually looks good!

Also I may be wrong but I believe its to flush out old fluid in the ABS module and lines?

Any mechanic with a decent scan tool will have the ability to switch the module on to let it pump out.

Ok guys.

If I were to grab these - NVU, Genuine Holden parts to suit Holden Commodore VR,VS,VT,VX,VY,VZ,Monaro,Statesman,Utes and HSV

Not sure if the link works, but the description...

PART NO. FCLH / FCRH
GENUINE HBD C-6 FRONT CALIPERS INC PADS & BRAKE LINES THESE CALIPERS WERE THE UPGRADE CALIPERS CALIPERS WILL ONLY SUIT 320MM DISCS DISC ROTORS NOT INCLUDED SOLD AS PAIR BRAND NEW NEVER BEEN FITED ALL GENUINE PARTS

Picture - http://www.motorfield.com.au/NVU_images/products_images/1113.jpg

Would they be an improvement over the stock callipers? I would need 320mm rotors for the front too, so that should be an improvement? Or is it not worth it?

Have you had a look at your Bushes?
My brakes never felt the best, a little soft.
Upgraded my Bushes, because the stocks were cracked and now it pulls up really nice.

Long brake pedal travel indicates air in the system or a failing brake cylinder.

Changing pads and rotors wont fix it.

Stock brakes should pull you up no worries in normal road use.
