When I was buying the Mazda, I had a choice between the Mazda 3 SP (paddle shifters) & the standard Mazda 6 (manual mode gear shifter only). Went with the 6 as I can only imagine the amount of bad gear changes that would have occurred over the years.
Tiptronics are great. The people who use them aren't.
From memory, the SV6 had paddle shifters. Weren't very good. Mind you, we only used to thrash them around the yard.
