Hi guys. Driving along the other day car running smoothe and powerfull! Gave it a bootfull (auto) to change lanes. Apon slowing down for the lights the whole car was shaking as if i had an old school 500 cude v8 under the hood! In neutral when pumping accelerator it bogs and splutters befor building revs!

Whole enging is shaking causing whole car to shake!
I have removed manifold and changed spark plugs (& manifold gasket) what a prik of a job! Still presenting the same problem!
Could it be the coil packs and how do i test for the dodgey one???

Or could it be something else im not seeing?

Thanks guys
Brad

No leads. And no pushrods.

Probably dodgy coil. Only way to test is with a COP tester. You could try moving and replacing existing coils to try and isolate the dodgy coil. Or buy a new one and eliminate one by one.

Do you just remove a coil plug one at a time and see if it gets worse or stays the same?
If it is a coil under the manifold will the fresh gasket f@$# up or will it be ok with little run time?

The biggest question is it dangerous or detrimental to remove plugs whilst running or do i turn off unplug then start (then repeat)

Ta fellas

Will it damage car running whilst unpluging 1 coil at a time????

unplugging the leads when running wont hurt it, but if you get zapped doing it, its gonna hurt......

If your not sure about that, just go to wreckers and pick a cheapy up and use that for testing.

I would think unpluging while running wouldnt be too healthy for a car tho.. :/
