264Kw ain't too bad really.. makes it about the same as Ford's adjusted 270Kw for the typhoon.. DIN calculating hillbillies.. no offence to hillbillies..some of them are my best friends! Why, it was just the other day that Jethro and I were down by the see-ment pond..

Interesting that there running them in the VZ's, i thought they were going to leave the standard gen 3 in and only run the 6.0 in the HSV range untill they released the VE.

the article mentions they gotta get rid of the Gen 3's as they don't meet the new emission laws for new cars as of the 1st jan 2006.

Originally expected to debut in the all-new VE Commodore around August next year, the Step 2-compliant Gen IV is not the 297kW 6.0-litre LS2 V8 that powers both the US-market Corvette and local Holden Special Vehicles models, which will continue to offer the flagship GM V8 exclusively.

LOL that awnsers my question ;)

Thats right, Current is LS1 or Gen3, this is the Gen 4 were the HSV is the LS2, looks nice, DoD (Displacment on Demand) would make the fuel consumption a bit better, I heard 7% better :w00t: .

Heres two different articles that talk about it ;)
