yeah lifes tough, i think holden could make it easier to refill the window washer fluid on the vp, popping that black cap just stumps me every time.

Holden probably changed it because a plastic block and a bolt is cheaper than a clamp over the top of the battery.

A procedure for changing a battery?

Undo 13mm bolt
Undo clamps 10mm nuts
Remove battery
Fit new battery
Fit clamps and tighten 10mm nuts
Fit clamp and tighten 13mm bolt.

Tomorrow we cover changing wiper blades.

Sure thing!

Open washer bottle lid
Tip in water till it's full
Close lid
Enjoy success and functioning washer jets.

Interesting discussion. I find the battery strap a problem for checking the water levels. On my old Century battery, the top flap of the battery had to swing open to reveal the filler caps. Battery strap would have been in the way, perhaps this might be why Holden changed it. I have a no maintenance battery now, because I keep forgetting to check the levels!
